We fly at Stow Maries, a WW1 aerodrome presently being restored to as near its original state as possible.
We have been flying on the site (previously known as Flambirds Farm) for over 40
years and the new owners have made it clear that they are keen for model flying to
continue. When completed the aerodrome will be equipped with hangars housing historic
and classic aircraft, with a restoration and maintenance activity. The new owner
already has planning permission to operate as an unlicensed aerodrome with a limited
number of full size movements, and we are already beginning to experience aircraft

At the field is a caravan for shelter, and a fully serviced WC, although future plans include a clubhouse in WW1 style with running water, a flush lavatory, and power.

Frequency Control
The Club operates a "peg on" frequency control system. Helicopters are allocated a separate band of frequencies from fixed wing.
All fixed wing models fly from the main square whilst Helicopters operate from their own separate square and with their own air space.
